Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information SheetForYou collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. We aim to collect as little as possible and to handle it carefully.

Who we are

SheetForYou is operated by Ramesh Selvaraj, a sole proprietor based in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, India. For any privacy questions or requests, contact us at support@sheetforyou.com.

Information we collect

• Account information: your email address and an encrypted password, used to create and secure your account.
• Files you upload: the Excel or CSV files you submit for transformation. These are processed to produce your result and are not stored after the transformation is complete. To decide which operations to apply, our AI provider receives only your column names and a small number of sample rows — never your full dataset.
• Usage data: your current plan and the number of transformations you have used, so we can apply your plan's limits.
• Payment information: handled entirely by our payment partner, Razorpay. We do not see or store your card, UPI, or bank details.
• Basic technical data: standard request information such as IP address, used for security and rate-limiting.

How we use your information

• To provide the service — running your transformations and delivering your files.
• To manage your account, plan, and usage limits.
• To process subscription payments through Razorpay.
• To respond to your support requests.
• To keep the service secure and prevent abuse.

Service providers we rely on

We use trusted third parties to operate SheetForYou. Each receives only the data needed for its function:

• Supabase — account authentication and database.
• Razorpay — payment and subscription processing.
• Anthropic (Claude) — AI that reads your column names and sample rows to choose operations.
• Vercel and Railway — website and backend hosting.
• ImprovMX — forwarding email sent to our support address.

Data retention

Uploaded files are not retained after processing. Account and usage data are kept while your account is active. If you ask us to delete your account, we remove your associated data, except where we must retain limited records (for example, payment records) to meet legal or tax obligations.

Your rights

In line with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you may request access to the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete your account and data. To exercise any of these, email support@sheetforyou.com.

Cookies and local storage

We use only what is necessary to keep you signed in (a session stored by Supabase in your browser). We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.
